SERVING THE COMMUNITY IS OUR PASSION

The Columbus Dream Center (CDC) is an organization created to restore hope to families in the Chattahoochee Valley area.

​

Since it began in 2001, the CDC has been privileged to impact over 40,000 people in the Chattahoochee Valley area with free food, meals, clothing, hair care, hygiene products, life skills and more. The CDC is open on the third Saturday of every month from 11 AM to 1 PM, and throughout the month by appointment. We invite you to volunteer or give financially to help us impact more families.

BEATRICE CASIANO ALLEN, MSM, MSW.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Beatrice Casiano Allen is the Executive Director for The Columbus Dream Center which restores hope to families. The Columbus Dream Center provides families with free food, meals, clothing, hair care, hygiene products. Beatrice initiated Camp Dream Girls (an all-girl summer camp), Case management services for CDC clients, life skills classes and much more.

 

Beatrice is the Founder and CEO of Passion 4 Latinas, a nonprofit organization started in 2018 which works with middle and high school girls in the Chattahoochee Valley area. Passion 4 Latinas equips young ladies with leadership, empowerment, and educational skills to assist them with finding their passion in life and helping them succeed in their personal and professional lives.

 

Beatrice attended Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Business and a second Master’s degree in Social Work from Troy University.

 

Previously, she worked as the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chattahoochee Valley, Director of Grants and Foundations for Boys & Girls Club of the Chattahoochee Valley, and a Mental Health Counselor for Wellmore Behavioral Health in Connecticut. 

 

Beatrice developed an interest in Immigration Policy and Research while completing her practicum with the Southern Poverty Law Center. She has begun immigration research on the effects of family separation and is a strong advocate for keeping Hispanic/ Latino families together. She has volunteered her time working in the past with Paz Amigos, an organization that provided services and reunited detainees with their families once released from immigration detention centers in Georgia. 

 

Beatrice is a believer of never giving up on your goals, dreams and aspirations. She is a witness of what your passion can produce. Your passion will always make a way for you!
